LION® R30006 is the “industrial workhorse” of the cobalt-based alloy family. As the most widely used versatile cobalt alloy, it provides an excellent balance of impact resistance- corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. It is the premier choice for applications involving heavy cavitation, thermal shock, and high-temperature erosion.

R30006 is prized for its “Red Hardness,” maintaining structural integrity even when heated to a dull red glow:

The versatile nature of R30006 makes it the standard for high-performance sealing and cutting:

5. Processing & Fabrication Guidance
- Hardfacing: Highly compatible with SMAW- GMAW- PTA, and Laser Cladding. Unlike harder grades, R30006 is less prone to cracking, requiring a moderate preheat of 250°C – 350°C.
